On the way home from my Super Bowl Party last night....

Postby O. G. Eagle on Mon Feb 08, 2010 8:49 am

Suddenly a large pile of dung fell on my windshield and I almost had a wreck getting off the interstate to see what in the heck had happened. I looked up, and guess what, pigs were flying.....Congratulations to the Saints and their long-suffering fans, of which I am one of. If only my father would have lived a little longer to see it.... I guess the check's in the mail to me, right Gary O??? :-)

Since I rooted for Favor two weeks ago, I'm not a "real fan" like some of the "long suffering" 12 year olds on here..

But I keep saying "when do I wake up?", every time I see "Aints win Super Bowl" on TV..

Remember coming back from the Weed Eater Bowl RB, listening to the Aints stop their 14 game losing streak?

People should have known this was going to happen. It all started with the outbreak of the Swine Flu ( sorry pun intended )

I believe, cw, it would be more related to you're ... I hope the colts win in a blowout and kill breese in the process ... Type comments than your having pulled for favre two weeks ago.

I predicted a colts win but still wanted the saints. 2 weeks ago you wanted a saints embarrassing & painful loss to manning.

Oh man..you got me HOLE..

Number of Vikings/Packers games attended by worm : 1 (Packers)

Number of Saints games attended by worm: 58 (1968-2009)

Number of games worm pulled for Saints: 680

Number of games worm pulled ever so slightly against Saints, even when they obviously intended to hurt Brett Favor: 1

Intent must be proven. The burden of proof is on the state or well in this case you wormer :) I sure didn't see the Saints going after Freeney's hurt ankle every play. I mean if they really intended to hurt someone I would think they would be cut blocking him every play.

I've been searching for a definition of the word fan that includes cheering against them in their biggest game ever. I guess you can call yourself whatever you want. But 2 weeks ago I learned that I wasn't a Favre fan. I wish him well generally and have interest in how he does but I just don't think it's possible to be fans of both. There eventually comes a time when they play and you make your choice.

This is a little off topic but thought I'd bring it up. I don't mean to start an Ole Miss bashing thread but what gets me is the way so many of them were pulling for the Colts in the Super Bowl simply because someone with the last name "Manning" was playing for them.
